What's the difference between Zeus, Thor and Magni?

Zeus is the high-output 150mm louvre, Class B rain defence. Thor is the 100mm louvre, Class C rain defence for more exposed facades. Magni is the compact 50mm airflow-led louvre, Class D rain defence.

Which louvre has the best rain defence?

Zeus Hydra-Shield. A perforated front sheet over the Zeus 150mm blade system lifts rain defence to Class A, with 32% combined free open area, for high-exposure facades where a standard louvre isn't enough.

Are Invicta louvres tested to a standard?

Yes. Zeus, Zeus Hydra-Shield, Thor and Magni ratings reference AS/NZS 4740:2025. Published figures are for preliminary specification guidance. Contact Invicta for project-specific support.

What is free open area?

Free open area (FOA) is the proportion of the louvre face that air can actually pass through, once the blade material is subtracted. An 82% FOA means 82% of the opening is open path. It is the single biggest driver of how much air a louvre will move.

Where do the performance figures come from?

Free open area, rain-defence class and aerodynamic class are CFD-tested in ANSYS and reference AS/NZS 4740:2025. Published figures are for preliminary specification; we confirm project-specific numbers on request.

Is there a warranty on the powder-coat finish?

Yes. The Pantheon range carries a 25-year commercial powder-coat warranty.

What aluminium screening systems does Invicta offer?

Invicta fabricates three aluminium screening systems: standard batten screens (RHS aluminium posts with SHS aluminium battens on an adjustable centre-to-centre setout), angled batten screens (battens set between flat bars or L-angles so the screen reads as privacy, open-view or 90° depending on approach), and the Loki 60mm blade screen, a louvre-profile screen for where clean facade rhythm matters more than airflow. RHS-framed aluminium access gates complete the range.

What's the difference between Loki screening and a Pantheon louvre?

Loki gives the look of a louvre blade for clean facade rhythm, plant concealment and privacy, but it isn't airflow- or rain-rated. A Pantheon louvre (Zeus or Thor) is CFD-tested to AS/NZS 4740:2025 for free open area and rain defence. Choose Loki when screening and appearance lead; choose a Pantheon louvre when tested airflow or weather performance is required.

Can aluminium screening be powder-coated to match the facade?

Yes. All aluminium screening is powder-coated to any nominated Dulux range and colour, and carries the same 25-year commercial powder-coat warranty as the Pantheon louvre range.

Can I adjust how open or closed a screen is?

Yes. Batten centre-to-centre spacing is adjustable to tune how open or closed the screen reads, and angled batten screens present as privacy, open-view or 90° depending on the approach angle. Set it to suit the facade in the configurator or on the shop drawings.

What are Invicta's screens and access gates made from?

Aluminium, the same as the rest of our systems. Screens use extruded aluminium battens and blades on aluminium framing; access gates are RHS aluminium frames with Magni aluminium-louvre infill, powder-coated to suit the facade.

Metalwork & fabrication

Can Invicta supply the metalwork and the louvres together?

Yes, and it is how most of our projects run. At Allere, West Village we delivered louvres, batten and perforated screening, glass balustrades, handrails, gates, awnings and planter screens as a single package. It comes off one set of shop drawings, through our Brendale workshop, to our install crew, so the whole package is coordinated, inside and out.

Are your balustrades and handrails compliant?

They are engineered to the National Construction Code and AS/NZS 1170.1 barrier loadings, with handrails set out to AS 1428.1 on accessible paths and AS 1657 in plant and industrial areas. Aluminium members are designed to AS 1664. Shop drawings, engineering certification and site measure come with the package.

Do you fabricate in steel, or only aluminium?

Aluminium is our core material for architectural work. For impact and traffic items such as bollards and wheel stops, where steel is the right choice for impact resistance, we fabricate in steel, then have it hot-dip galvanised and powder-coated.

What are Heimdall bollards?

Heimdall is our impact bollard system for car parks and service areas. Sizes and layouts are set to the traffic and clearance requirements of the space, then powder-coated to suit wayfinding or architectural colours.

Can you fabricate to an architect's custom detail?

Yes. Bespoke glazing, feature screens and one-off metalwork are drawn from your detail in our drawing office and fabricated into the same package, so the custom items are coordinated with the rest of the package rather than let out separately.

Specifying with Invicta

Do you provide Revit (RFA) families and datasheets?

Yes. Revit (RFA) families are available for Zeus, Zeus Hydra-Shield and Thor, alongside PDF datasheets for the full Pantheon range. If you need a profile modelled that isn't listed, ask and we will prepare it.

Can you engineer non-standard sizes or custom profiles?

Yes. Larger openings use intermediate mullions or bracing, and we regularly fabricate to an architect's custom detail. Aluminium members are designed to AS 1664 and barriers to AS/NZS 1170.1.

Can you quote the whole aluminium package?

Yes. Louvres, screening, balustrades, handrails, gates and bespoke metalwork can be drawn, priced and delivered as a single coordinated scope. See Metalwork & Fabrication.

Where are Invicta products made?

Designed, drafted and fabricated in-house at Invicta's facility in Brendale, north of Brisbane, with powder-coating and galvanising through specialist finishers, then signed off on site to the builder's program. Australian made.

Is there a tool to size airflow quickly?

Which profile should I start with?

Zeus for the highest airflow on a 150mm blade, Thor where rain defence matters on a 100mm blade, Magni for compact ducted and plant applications, and Loki where the priority is screening rather than rated airflow. Zeus Hydra trades free area for Class A rain defence.

Can I use these numbers for compliance?

Treat them as preliminary sizing. The free area and K factors are our tested figures, but a mechanical submission should be confirmed against project-specific data. Send us the opening schedule and we will size it with you.

What if I know my own free area?

Open the "Override FOA & K factor" panel in the calculator and enter your own values. The airflow and pressure outputs recalculate against whatever free area and K factor you set.
